Volunteers Voice - Ishan Sahu

I am really someone with meager talents and am most definitely not an impressive person.  What these girls gave me was something small, but huge to me.  It was the ability to get up in the morning, put a cape on, and act like a superhero.

You see Mr. Nakka, with my not so special skills I was able to make a difference (a small one), but a difference nonetheless.  So why is that significant?  Doing things for the world that you live in is a tedious task because society can be greedy, but the importance is to get up and do something with a purpose.  Go do something, even if it isn't big, with a purpose.
Helping someone to cross a street or even something as simple as smiling at a stranger can do wonders.  These girls gave me that, they gave my small skills a huge purpose.  They smiled, they accepted me, they took me in as a brother and that is what makes them so wonderful.  Treating people with respect, care, and some love is really what any living being craves.  I hope I was able too, and will continue to love these girls as my own sisters from here on out because I know my family just got a whole lot bigger :).

You can happily tell these girls that they will always have an older brother there for them in Minnesota, United States.  More importantly, if there is anything I can help with I would be happy to help, I can't do much, but I know I will do everything in my power to create opportunity for them.
